1. Information we collect
Me vs Most may process the following information when you use the site:
- Game activity: Your selected answers, the questions shown to you, game progress, score, and a randomly generated session identifier.
- Daily Question activity: Your selected answer and whether that browser has already voted on the current Daily Question.
- Technical information: Our hosting and security providers may process information such as an IP address, browser or device type, requested pages, timestamps, referring page, and diagnostic or security logs.
- Abuse prevention: The site creates short lived, one way identifiers from limited connection information to enforce voting limits. Raw IP addresses are not stored by Me vs Most for this purpose. A separate random browser identifier is stored as a one way value for a limited period to prevent duplicate Daily Question votes.
- Communications: If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include in your message.
We do not ask for your name, mailing address, telephone number, or payment information to play the game.
2. How we use information
We use information to operate and improve Me vs Most, including to:
- Save votes and calculate aggregate voting percentages.
- Show whether an answer matches the current majority.
- Maintain game sessions and calculate scores.
- Prevent questions from repeating until the available collection is exhausted.
- Remember whether a browser has answered the Daily Question.
- Limit duplicate, automated, or unusually rapid voting.
- Maintain security, diagnose problems, prevent abuse, and respond to messages.
3. Browser storage and cookies
The game uses local storage in your browser to remember your current session, previously seen question identifiers, and your Daily Question choice. Local storage stays on your device until it is cleared by you, your browser, or your device.
Our hosting provider may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary to provide access, security, and basic site operation. Me vs Most does not currently use third party advertising or analytics cookies. If those services are introduced, this policy will be updated to describe them before they are enabled.
5. Data retention
Aggregate vote totals may be retained for as long as Me vs Most operates because they provide the comparisons used by the game. Game session records, communications, and technical logs are kept only as long as reasonably needed for operation, security, support, and legal obligations. Browser storage remains on your device until it is cleared.
6. Your choices and privacy requests
You can clear Me vs Most data stored on your device through your browser's website data or storage settings. Doing so will remove saved progress and the record of questions previously shown on that device.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning personal information, including requesting access, correction, or deletion. Because game votes are not collected with a name or account, we may be unable to connect an anonymous vote or session to a particular person. You may send a privacy request to privacy@mevsmost.com.
7. Children's privacy
Me vs Most is a general audience service and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it when appropriate.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information. No internet service or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the site, its technology, or legal requirements change. The revised policy will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Material changes will be highlighted when appropriate.
